Gates, NY Police Chief James VanBrederode Would Deny his Own Children Their Constitutional First Amendment Right as Americans: "My Two VanBrederode Children Would Not be On That Field Taking a Knee."

Gates, NY Police Chief James VanBrederode

By Davy V.

Speaking on Rochester, NY's Bob Lonsberry show on WHAM 1180 radio Friday morning, Gates, NY Police Chief James VanBrederode said he would in essence violate his own family's constitutional right to free speech.

Asked by Bob Lonsberry what he thought of a local Rochester high school boys soccer team taking a knee and refusing to stand for the singing of the national anthem, much like NFL star Colin Karpernick has vowed to do in wake of police shootings of blacks across the country, Chief VanBrederode said he would not allow his children to do the same.

"My two VanBrederode children would not be on that field taking a knee," VanBrederode said.

Hmm...

Interesting.

Here's my question.

If Gates, NY Police Chief  James VanBrederode rules his family with an iron fist, to the point where he would deny his own children the freedom of self expression and individuality, how does he run his own department when it comes to respecting citizens' constitutional rights?

In a Frieudian slip sort of way, I believe he just told us.

Rochester, NY's World of Inquiry School Soccer Team Should Take a Knee Against Black on Black Violence

World of Inquiry School Soccer Team Team Takes a Knee During National Anthem

By Davy V.

I get it.

As a Latino, and father of two African-American and Latino children, I get it.

As a second generation police accountability activist, who has dedicated the past 20-plus years of my life to exposing police misconduct and corruption, I get it.

But what I don't get, and what I will never get, and what I can't stand, is hypocrisy.

A hypocrisy that for years has run rampant in Rochester, NY.

I'm talking about a recent incident in my hometown of Rochester, NY, where the entire boys soccer team from the World of Inquiry School took a knee during the playing of the national anthem last week, a la Colin Karpernick, as a protest to police killings of blacks.

I get it.

In fact, I more than get it.

As a staunch advocate of free speech, I not only support the right of the WOI boys soccer team, to take a knee during the national anthem, but I will support ANYONE who excercises his or her first amendment right to free speech.

However, just as I have been critical of the Black Lives Matter movement, for what I, along with many others feel is their hypocrisy in failing to denounce black on black violence and express the same, if not more angst when it comes to black on black violence, as members of BLM demonstrate whenever a white cop kills a black person, I also feel that the World of Inquiry School varsity soccer team, each and every player, are hypocrites.

To take a knee because now it's the cool thing to do, but not to speak out, protest, or in any way denounce, black on black violence, is hypocritical.

To jump on the bandwagon and take a knee at some soccer game while ignoring black on black genocide, is hypocritical.

I'll bet dollars to donuts that those kids don't even know what they're doing or why they're doing it.

Other than to get attention.

Clowns.

Like I've said, and like I will continue to say, the real enemy of young black youths, is NOT the police.

It's other black youths.

Black lives are being stolen by young black men, and women, who have absolutely no respect for human life.

Latasha Shaw was beaten and stabbed to death in 2007

On September 29, 2007 Latasha Shaw, a beautiful black woman and hardworking mother rushed to help her daughter who had been jumped, and was being beaten just a few blocks away on Dewey Avenue in Rochester, NY.

Latasha Shaw was beaten and  stabbed to death, as dozens of people looked on, but did nothing to intervene.

Latasha Shaw died defending her child.

Latasha Shaw's life was stolen by the hands of another black life.

BLACK ON BLACK VIOLENCE.

All this took place just a couple of blocks away from Aquinas High School.

The same place where the World of Inquiry School boys soccer team took a knee during the national
anthem.

Because all of a sudden it's the cool thing to do now.

I just wish they would take a knee against black on black homicide.

Niagara Falls, NY Cop Shoots Man During Drug Raid, Gets Paid Vacation

Niagara Falls, NY Police outside 488 20th Street where a NFPD cop shot a man in the abdomen.

By Davy V.

A Niagara Falls, NY police officer has been placed on paid administrative leave, which is police speak for a paid vacation, after he shot a 33-year old man in the abdomen during a drug raid Wednesday night around 8:14 pm at 488 20th Street near Ferry Street.

The victim whose name has not been released is listed in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center.

Niagara Falls, NY Police Superintendent Bryan Dalporto.

"They encountered some resistance from the suspect inside the house. There was also some movement inside the house as officers approached the house to execute the search warrant. They made entry into the house. At some point during the entry an officer discharged his weapon, striking the person that was inside of the house," Dalporto said.

According to Niagara Falls Police Superintendent Bryan Dalporto, police found drugs, an assault rifle, and an edged weapon during the raid.

Superintendent Dalporto added that there is a "full investigation" underway.

Interesting.

As opposed to a "partial investigation"?

I will be updating this piece.

Miami-Dade Cop Guilty of Stealing Taxpayer Funded Gas for His Personal Use

Miami-Dade Sgt. Emil Van Lugo stealing taxpayer funded county gas for his personal use.

By Davy V.

It only took a Miami, Florida jury a couple of hours Tuesday, to convict a Miami-Dade cop of stealing from taxpayers to fuel his collection of exotic cars, which includes three Ferarris.

Miami-Dade Police Sgt. Emil Van Lugo

The jury convicted 47-year old Miami-Dade Police Sgt. Emil Van Lugo of theft and organized scheme to defraud the county of Miami-Dade.

"Sadly, Sgt. Van Lugo cared more about cheating the county out of a few dollars to fuel his stable of cars than he did about his oath to uphold the law," said Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle.

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle

According to prosecutors, Sgt. Lugo made weekly trips to a Miami-Dade County fuel station, where he would gas up his police cruiser, as well as two red gasoline containers.

What Lugo didn't know however was that detectives were conducting video surveillance on him.

Both at the fuel station, when he would fill up his red containers, and at his West Kendall home, where he would drop them off.

(I'VE POSTED LINK TO SURVEILLANCE VIDEO BELOW)

Prosecutors Trent Reichling and Terry Livanos showed jurors two surveillance videos of Sgt. Van Lugo filling up his wife's BMW with taxpayer funded county gas.

Sgt. Van Lugo, who is free on bail, faces up to 5 years in prison when he is sentenced.

My question is what else was Sgt. Van Lugo stealing on the job in order to afford three Ferraris?

Rochester, NY Mayor Lovely Warren, City Councilman Adam McFadden Make More Empty Promises After Viral Video of Cops Pepper-Spraying, Tackling Black Mother in Front of her 5-Year Old Daughter

Rochester, NY Mayor Lovely Warren and her Puppets.

By Davy V
.

With just a little more than a year left in her train wreck first term in office, and in a desperate political attempt to boost her 39 percent favoribility rate, Rochester, NY Mayor Lovely Warren held a press conference in wake of a viral video showing white Rochester, NY cops pepper-spraying and tackling a black mother in front of her 5-year old daughter, and arresting Clarence Thompson, a black man who video recorded the incident.

Rochester, NY Cops on top of LaTroya Parker after they pepper-sprayed and tackled her in front of her 5-year old daughter.

One by one they all lined up under the large painting of Jonathan Child, Rochester, NY's first mayor.

Lovely Warren, Rochester's first black female mayor, and just the second African-American mayor in the city's history, flanked on both sides by her puppets.

To her right, City Council members Matt Hague, Adam McFadden, and Loretta Scott.

To her left, Rochester, NY Police Chief Michael Ciminnelli, and Deputy Chief of Community Relations, Wayne Harris.

It was a hastily put together press conference, poorly organized, and held in a tight corner of Rochester's City Hall, right next to a main entrance.

The city's portable audio system was terrible, and so was the positioning of the small podeum, which was placed in direct sunlight.

City of Rochester officials even positioned the podeum  in under sunlight.

Mayor Warren announced that Rochester, NY Police Chief Michael Ciminelli and Wayne Harris, the RPD's newly appointed Deputy Chief of Community Relations, will spend the next 60 days listening to citizens for their ideas on what the Rochester Police Department can do to improve community relations.

Warren also said that Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminnelli has 90 days to come up with a plan on how to improve those relations.

"We will not get everything 100 percent right," Warren said.

"We won't, but the thing is, in Rochester, we try."

What a load of shit.

Spoken like a true politician.

Rochester, NY City Councilman Adam McFadden

Then came Rochester, NY City Councilman Adam McFadden, who chairs the city's public safety committee.

McFadden once again promised a civilian review board to oversee the Rochester, NY Police Department and investigate allegations of police misconduct.

A promise he has made for years.

And as I stood there, it hit me, just what a fucking joke my hometown is.

My dad Mario Vara, a longtime police accountability activist in Rochester, NY, along with the late Reverend Raymond Graves, spent years calling for a civilian review board.

In fact, the call for a civilian review board has been made in Rochester, NY, dating back to the 1960's.

The 1960's.

A very tense time in Rochester, NY between police and the black community.

That tension exploded in July of 1964 with riots.

It's also important that when it comes to a civilian review board, the Rochester, NY Police Union has been vehemently opposed for decades.

In fact, in 1963, the Rochester, NY Police Union took out a full one page ad in Rochester's Times-Union newspaper, calling for the community to oppose a civilian review board.

And here we are.

More than 50 years later.

Still calling for a civilian review board.

It disgusts me.

A black Mayor who has never gave two shits about rogue cops abusing citizens, especially blacks and Latinos, was now finally conveniently speaking out, pretending to care, when in reality she's just politicizing the fact that her police department is out of control, all in an attempt to get black votes in order to get another term of the same old same old.

And a weak police chief who has no backbone to stand up to his own cops.

A puppet.

A liar.

On one hand Rochester, NY Police Chief Michael Ciminnelli says there's nothing wrong with the police body-cams the city purchased for his department.

On the other hand Mike Mazzeo, the President of the Rochester Police Locust Club, the department's union,  says the body cameras the city purchased are poor quality and ineffective.

According to Mazzeo, the body cams are so poor in quality that they're only used by three other police departments in the country.

Rochester, NY Police Union President Mike Mazzeo

During a press conference Monday, Mazzeo said that the body-cams Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren and Police Chief Michael Ciminnelli purchased for his cops abruptly shut off and are not reliable.

Which is what he says happened during that controversial arrest of LaTroya Parker, the black mother who was pepper-sprayed and tackled by a Rochester Police officer in front of her 5-year old daughter.

During yesterday's press conference, Mayor Lovely Warren and Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminnelli also announce that they would be releasing the body-cam video of the arrest, as well as video from the a City of Rochester surveillance camera, located on top of a utility pole on the street where the arrest happened.

The body-cam video footage, which they released is poor quality.

The video looks amateurish.

It actually reminded me of the video quality which old-school flip phones used to provide, long before the smart phone camera technology.

The video was pixelated.

Just horrible.

Rochester, NY WHAM 1180 radio host Bob Lonsberry

Even Rochester's WHAM 1180 radio host Bob Lonsberry, a staunch pro-police advocate, blasted the Rochester Police Department for their lack of transparency.

"The release of that video was so delayed... with the extraordinarily amateurish and crude pixelation was completely useless",  said Lonsberry.

"The community is going to look at that and say what's that?"

Lonsberry continued.

"What's the point of releasing that?", Lonsberry asked.

"And what's the point of waiting two weeks to release that?"

"That's almost distrustful to the notion of openness and transparency", Lonsberry said, adding, "I think one thing this police department (Rochester Police) probably ought to do is understand the volatility of upset urban communities."

Then referring to the Rochester Police Departnent dragging its feet to release the videos, Lonsberry said something many have been saying for years."

"That's exactly what gets neighborhoods burned down."

Personally, what I found perhaps even more disturbing than the poor video quality of the Rochester Police Department's body-cam footage, and the fact that they were slow to release the videos, is the fact that neither the body-cam video nor surveillance camera video show what both Chief Ciminnelli and Rochester Police Union President Mike Mazzeo claimed happened during the arrest of the LaTroya Parker.

Chief Ciminneli has said that what the community  didn't see in the viral video is that Parker assaults a Rochester Police officer, by "backhanding the officer."

Rochester Police Union President Mike Mazzeo claims that Parker hits the Rochester Police officer and breaks his glasses.

As a result, Mazzeo says the officer suffered cuts to his face.

However, none of the video footage released by Rochester, NY Mayor Lovely Warren and Chief Ciminnelli show that.

Do they think people are stupid?

Check out the videos below, of me blasting Rochester, NY Mayor Lovely Warren and Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminnelli.

Notice how they both completely ignore the majority of my questions.

Yet they both claim to want to listen to the community.

In the video, pay close attention to Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminnelli, when I repeatedly ask him why his officers continue to violate citizens' first amendment right to record.

And he completely ignores my questions before a City of Rochester spokeswoman ends the press conference.

Rochester, NY Police Union President Claims Cops on Hit List After Viral Video, Blames Ineffective Body-Cams

Rochester, NY Police Locust Club Union President
Mike Mazzeo

UPDATED WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2016 5:00 A.M. BY DAVY V.

"We had credible threats against our officers' lives."

That's all Rochester, NY Police Union President Mike Mazzeo would say about alleged threats against Rochester, NY cops during a press conference Tuesday afternoon, where he once again blamed Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren and RPD Chief Michael Ciminnelli for purchasing what he calls "ineffective" body-cams for the RPD.

Rochester, NY Police Locust Club Union President Mike Mazzeo (center), flanked by RPD cops, during press conference. (Photo: Twitter)

According to Mazzeo, the body-cams purchased by the City of Rochester are ranked the lowest by police officers, and are only used by three other police departments in the country.

In full damage control spin mode, Mazzeo tried to defend and justify the actions of his cops who are seen in a viral video retaliating against a black woman on a public sidewalk, pepper-spraying her, and then tackling her from behind in front of her 5-year old daughter, before arresting her.

In the video, Rochester cops are also seen arresting a black man who video recorded the incident,

In his PR spin move, Mazzeo says the body-cams didn't catch the entire incident because they don't function properly.

"If the public doesn't have the confidence in these cameras, then they're going to be ineffective,"
Mazzeo said.

"If the police officers who are wearing them don't have confidence in the cameras, then they're going to be ineffective."

I find Mike Mazzeo's comments interesting because in the video, (which I've linked below under my original story) anyone can clearly see several rogue Rochester, NY cops tackling a mother from behind in front of her 5-year old child.

The video speaks for itself.

Earlier in the day, Rochester, NY's WHAM 1180 radio talk show host Bob Lonsberry talked on his show about threats to Rochester Police officers being posted on social media.

Read my original story below.

By Davy V.

According to Rochester, NY Police Locust Club President Mike Mazzeo, a hit list naming several RPD cops has been circulating on social media.

This comes just days after a viral video which shows Rochester, NY cops retaliating against several witnesses to an arrest.

In the video, which I have linked below, a white Rochester, NY cop pepper sprays and tackles a black mother from behind, in front of her 5-year old daughter.

Another white Rochester, NY cop then arrests a black man who video recorded the woman being tackled.

Rochester, NY Cops on Top of Black Wonan after They Pepper-Sprayed, and Tackled Her in Front of her 5-Year Old Daughter

It should be noted that Rochester, NY Police Locust Club Union President Mike Mazzeo has a long history of crying wolf, making false allegations of threats to RPD cops, without any proof, in an attempt to gain community sympathy for his cops, while distracting attention from what the real issue is.

Which is the fact that the Rochester, NY Pokice Department is out of control, and tensions in Rochester's black and Latino community is nearing a boiling point with every video showing rogue RPD cops abusing minorities and traumatizing innocent children.

I will be updating this piece.

Monroe County, NY Employee: County Trying to Sweep Under the Rug Recent Break-In Where Personal Information May Have Been Compromised, Including Social Security Numbers

By Davy V.

According to a Monroe County, NY employee, County officials are keeping a recent break-in at the offices for Social Services, as quiet as they can, so much so that they aren't even notifying clients to inform them that their personal information, including social security numbers, may have been compromised during the break-in and vandalism.

Tuesday evening I was contacted by the employee, who asked to remain anonymous.

The employee informed me that sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning, someone broke into the Monroe County Social Services offices located at 691 St. Paul Blvd., in Rochester, NY.

"There is something that happened over the weekend that was not reported in the news that is important for the public to be aware of", said the employee.

"The county office building at 691 St. Paul Blvd. was broken into over the weekend, sometime Friday night or Saturday morning. The person broke in through a window and vandalized and stole things from the first and second floor. Locked cabinets were broken into."

The employee says that taxpayers should know that the county's security measures are very inadequate.

"The lax security measures at the county building made is so the break in wasn't even discovered until a worker went in sometime Saturday morning to get something from her desk," the employee said.

"She waited until she returned home to notify her boss as there was no security at the building."

The county employee says workers were notified of the break in via email.

"We were sent an e-mail to our work email sometime over the weekend, as most workers do not have access to their work email at home, the vast majority did not find out about this until Monday morning.

As a Monroe County worker, the employee says the way county officials are trying to keep it quiet, combined with how officials are not informing clients of the security breach, is what bothers them the most.

"What bothers me is it seems like the county is trying to sweep this under the rug, they seem like they don't want anyone to find out. While it doesn't appear that anyone's personal information was stolen, the people or persons who broke in compromised the personal information of many of our clients. None of whom have been notified. There were many papers left out with social security numbers, birth dates, addresses, etc,, all over them. No one knows for sure what is missing."

According to the employee, the County does not have a security system in the building.

"The county does not have an alarm system on this building, they do not have a security guard stationed there over night or on the weekend, no one would have even known if one person hadn't gone in on Saturday to grab something from their desk."

Interesting.

Something tells me that the fact that the private and personal information, including social security numbers of persons, which may have been compromised during the break in, belong to low-income persons on public assistance, has alot to do with the way Monroe County officials are keeping it on the low, and not even notifying clients to alert them.

A non-chalant, "Who cares?" attitude.

Former Rochester, NY Police Chief James Sheppard Received Special Treatment and had Fees Waived by Monroe County, NY

By Davy V.

As Rochester, NY Police Chief, James Sheppard covered up for, and justified racial profiling, civil rights violations, excessive force, and numerous killings of  innocent, unarmed citizens by his cops.

Before he was elected as Monroe County, NY Legislator, James Sheppard promised taxpayers transparency in county government.

Fast forward to Monday morning, when Monroe County, NY Clerk Adam Bello held a press conference announcing that under the watch of former Monroe County Clerk Cheryl DiNolfo, now Monroe County Executuve, certain select individuals received special treatment and had fees waived for things such as pistol permits, and passport photos.

Bello announced that the amount in waived fees cost Monroe County taxpayers a total of more than $35,000.

One of those individuals who received the 'Good Ol' Boys Club' special treatment?

None other than former Rochester, NY Police Chief James Sheppard.

There you have it, Monroe County taxpayers.

Town of Henrietta, NY Forces Man to Take Trump Sign Down

TRUMP 2016 Sign the Town of Henrietta, NY Forced Taxpayer to Take Down

By Davy V.

In yet another disturbing example of government infringing on citizen's rights, specifically the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment protected freedom of speech, a Henrietta, NY man has been forced by town officials to take down his lawn sign supporting Donald Trump.

According to the man, whose first name is Mike, and who asked me not to publish his last name, or his address, it all began when someone complained to the Henrietta Town board, about his sign supporting Donald Trump.

Mike says a Town of Henrietta, NY code enforcement officer then showed up to his Calkins Rd. home and threatened him with a cease and desist letter, as well
as warned him that he could face Town of Henrietta fines which would start at $500.

In the short period of time that Mike's "Trump 2016" sign had been on his front lawn, on his own private property, he tells me it has been vandalized several times, including egged, and even run over by a car.

This is Where Mike's "TRUMP 2016" Sign Used to Stand, On his Front Lawn of his Home

Tire Marks on Mike's "TRUMP 2016" Sign From
Being Run Over

Mike even received a letter from someone claiming to be a neighbor across the street, calling him a racist, and telling him to move.

The letter, which you can read in the screenshot below, in part reads:

"You are not welcome here and should move somewhere else."

Letter Telling Mike to Move because he Supports Donald Trump: "You are not welcome here and should move somewhere else."

In order to justify their forcing Mike to take down his sign, he says Town of Henrietta officials told  him his sign is in violation of town code.

"They dug deep in the code books in order to justify forcing me to take it down, and said my sign is too big," Mike said.

So Mike's sign is gone.

But he has a new one, mounted on the back of his pickup truck.

It reads: THE TOWN OF HENRIETTA MADE ME TAKE SIGN DOWN.

New Sign Mike Put Up: THE TOWN OF HENRIETTA MADE ME TAKE MY SIGN DOWN

I want to say something here.

Apart from the Town of Henrietta, NY bullying a taxpayer, threatening him, and telling him what he can or can't display on his own property, what really bothers me the most about this whole thing is the letter that Mike received.

As a Cuban-American whose parents fled Castro's totalitarian dictatorship government, in search of freedom and a better life for my family, it disgusts me that this man's neighbors would be so unamerican as to send him a letter telling him to move, because they don't agree with him.

I myself can't stand Donald Trump.

As a Latino and father to two African-American and Latino children, I'm disgusted with the way that Donald Trump has divided our country by stirring up and bringing out a racist element which has always existed, but has now been riled up and put front and center.

It's disgusting.

But, I'm an American.

And as an American, I will stand up and fight for another American's right to free speech.

And Mike has every right to put up his sign on his own property, supporting Donald Trump.

'Good Ol' Boys Club', Official Misconduct, Lack of Transparency, and Secret Meetings, Continue to Plague Mount Morris, NY After Police Chief is Put on Administrative Leave

Mount Morris, NY Police Chief Ken Mignemi

UPDATED WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 21, 2016 9:00 PM

BY DAVY V.

Still refusing to be transparent with taxpayers, Mount Morris, NY Mayor Joel Mike has suspended his Police Chief Ken Mignemi for two weeks without pay.

Read my original story below

By Davy V.

It's not everyday that an elected official has a public Frieudian slip.

But that's exactly what happened Monday night when Mount Morris, NY Mayor Joel Mike said he's doing everything he can to "protect" his police chief, after placing him on administrative leave, without even telling taxpayers why.

According to Rochester, NY's WHAM 1180 radio host Bob Lonsberry, it all started when a Mount Morris, NY Police officer pulled over a vehicle driven by a town official a few weeks ago for DWI.

Here's where Mount Morris, NY  Police Chief Ken Mignemi enters.

According to Lonsberry, as soon as Mount Mortrus, NY Police Chief Mignemi found out about the Town official had been stopped, he ordered his officer not to arrest the official, and instead to let him go.

Yep.

It's that 'Good Ol' Boys Club' I've talked about for years.

Mount Morris, NY Mayor Joel Mike

It's important to note that there has been next to no transparency from Mount Morris Mayor Joel Mike.

In fact, Lonsberry is the only one who has released the details surrounding the incident involving Chief Mignemi.

WHAM 1180 Radio Host Bob Lonsberry

And now that the so-called "internal investigation" has wrapped up, it's become clear to Mount Morris residents that their Mayor is going to continue to keep them in the dark, when it comes to the details surrounding Chief Mignemi.

Mount Morris officials met behind closed doors Monday night in a secret meeting, to discuss what's next for their police chief.

After the secret meeting, Mount Morris Mayor Joel Mike only had this to say to the media:

"At this stage of the game he's still on administrative leave. I can assure you and the public that we are doing everything that we are supposed to do to protect him and the village and taxpayers."

"Protect him"?

And with that, the mystery surrounding Mount Morris Police Chief Joel Mike continues.

So much for government transparency huh?

(VIDEO) Rochester, NY Cops Arrest Man for Video Recording, Pepper-Spray, Assault Innocent Bystanders

Rochester, NY Cops Arrest Woman on Private Property

UPDATED WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 20, 2016 5:00 PM BY DAVY V.

ROCHESTER, NY POLICE CHIEF MICHAEL CIMINNELLI ADMITS COP CALLED BLACK WOMAN "ANIMAL"

Tensions were high this afternoon inside Rochester City Hall when during a public meeting regarding the actions of several Rochester, NY Police officers who pepper-sprayed and tackled a black nother in front of her young daughter, and arrested a black man for video recording the incident, Rochester, NY Police Chief Michael Ciminnelli seemed to defend the actions of his officers saying the adults shouldn't have had a young child there.

Even though the incident occurred at her home.

Also, Chief Ciminnelli admitted that one of the RPD cops called the woman an "animal."

I will be updating this piece.

Read my original piece below.

By Davy V.

Just two days after Rochester, NY Mayor Lovely Warren and her police Chief Michael Ciminnelli announced the creation of a new position within the Rochester, NY Police Department, that of Deputy Chief of Community Relations, a disturbing video posted on Facebook September 15th by a man named Clarence Thompson, shows several white Rochester, NY cops retaliating against, pepper-spraying, and arresting innocent black bystanders, including Thompson, who recorded the video.

In the video, Rochester, NY cops can be seen on top of a person, laying on the street.

A white Rochester, NY Police officer is then seen ordering a black woman, who has been identified by Rochester City officials as Latorya Parker, off a public city sidewalk, near the intersection of Hollenbeck Street and Avenue A, right in front of her own home.

The man laying on the street is Parker's boyfriend.

When the woman tells the officer the sidewalk isn't his, he replies, "Yes it is my sidewalk.!"

Several cops, from the Rochester Police Department's Clinton Section, then rush the black woman, pepper-spraying her, grabbing her, twisting her arms and assaulting her, then tackling her to the ground inside her own property line.

Private property.

Parker's 5-year old daughter can be heard crying in the vides, as she witnessed the Rochester cops assaulting and tackling her mother.

In the video,, Latorya Parker can be heard crying, "I can't see!", after being pepper-sprayed.

Rochester, NY Cops Rush Woman on Private Property after Pepper-Spraying Her.

The video, which is being recorded by a man sitting in his car, then shows as the man exits his car to get a better angle of the Rochester cops assaulting the black woman.

That nan is Clatence Thompson.

A few seconds later, a Rochester, NY cop grabs Thompson, telling him "You're under arrest."

Police then place Thompson's phone on top of his car, with the camera facing down, but the video continues recording.

At the end of the video, a Rochester, NY Police officer is heard asking Thompson how to turn the video recording off.

Both Clarence Thompson and Latorya Parker were arrested by Rochester Police.

Clarence Thompson refused to return several messages I sent him for comment.

In the end of the video, Thompson can be heard actually telling the Rochester, NY Police officer who arrested him and took his phone, that he can go ahead and erase the video if he wants.

While I always tell folks to NEVER resist, and to NEVER be disrespectful or use any obscenities towards police, as frankly, it can and most often will just make matters worse, I find the fact that Clarence Thompson actually gave a police officer permission to erase his video, very disturbing.
