A Rochester, NY City Court Judge today dropped charges against a black man who was tassered by a white Rochester, NY Police officer inside the city's new $50 million dollar downtown bus station last February.

Wednesday morning, Rochester, NY City Court Judge Theresa Johnson dropped all charges against Brendan Carter.

In February, Carter was listening to music on his headphones while he waited for a city bus to go see his sick uncle.

That's when several Regional Transit Service security guards surrounded Carter, accused him of being drunk and told him he had to leave the bus station.

When Carter questioned why he was being kicked out, the RTS security guards called Rochester Police.

As Carter walks away, heading out of the bus station, an overzealous Rochester, NY cop arrives, and almost immediately tasers Carter, who drops to the floor.

The incident was captured on video.

A video recorded by Rochester, NY Black Panther chapter member Daryl Appleberry, and posted to YouTube shows several security officers including members of U.S. Homeland Security forcing a black man who was waiting on his bus, to leave Rochester's new $50 million RTS bus station in downtown Rochester because the man was dancing while listening to music with his headphones on.

One of the security officers, a retired Rochester, NY cop named Annie Craven can be seen holding a pair of handcuffs behind her back while the security guards accuse the man of being intoxicated.

Which by the way, is interesting because being intoxicated is not a crime.

And, as Rochester, NY resident Lissy Rivera pointed out in a comment she left on my Facebook page, the RTS actually welcomes drunk passengers onto their buses.

"If he was drunk so what, they give free rides to a lot of drunk people on New Years eve, so what's the difference?", Rivera said.

The video, which I have posted on my YouTube channel DavyVTV, and which I've included the link to at the end of this piece, also shows the man, identified as Branden Carter, questioning why he is being asked to leave a public bus station last Sunday.

In the video, which I've posted the link to below, the man is seen walking away from the security guards, only to be confronted by a white Rochester, NY cop who wastes no time in doing exactly what I have spent years criticizing the Rochester, NY Police Department of doing.

Escalating and creating unnecessary situations instead of diffusing them.

The RPD cop can be seen in the video quickly reaching for his taser without even first taking time to ask Carter anything, or at least get his side of the story.

Seconds later the Rochester cop assaults Carter, grabbing him, tripping him, and slamming him down to the floor, as a gang of security guards rush Carter.

It's at this very moment that RTS Security officer Annie Craven's two way radio goes off and a man's voice can be heard yelling at Craven; "Annie get this guy out of there with the camera behind you. Get him out of there!"

Looks like Rochester, NY's RTS Security doesn't want the profiling, assault and abuse of a black man, initiated by their security officers, and Rochester Police, to be exposed.

In a public space.

A public bus station.

Paid for by public tax dollars.

Carter was charged with resisting arrest and trespassing.

Trespassing.

In a public space.

Trespassing.

A public bus station.

Paid for by public tax dollars.
