For years I've written about how mainstream news media outlets exploit tragedy in order to boost television ratings.
After all, ratings translate into big money.
And no mainstream news media outlet knows this better than CNN.
Take, for example, a disturbing tweet the cable news station posted on their Twitter account late Saturday night.
As deadly hurricane Irma was approaching Florida after having devastated the Caribbean, killing at least a dozen people, CNN, which has been exploiting and sensationalizing Irma non-stop, stooped to a disgustingly new low, by encouraging people to risk their lives by going outside and taking photos and videos of one of the worst hurricanes on record, and then sending those photos and videos to CNN.
All in the name of television news ratings.
Disgusting.
