In classic Friday evening news dump style, Rochester, NY Mayor Lovely Warren and her administration announced that she has asked Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminelli to submit a letter of resignation, as well as a letter explaining why he should remain on as Chief of Police.

The announcement comes less than two weeks after Warren was elected to a second term as Mayor of Rochester.
