Rochester, NY Mayor Malik Evans Poses with Woman Beater and Rapist Rick Ross
BY DAVY V.
Washed up rapper Rick Ross also known as Officer Ricky, a former corrections officer, was arrested in Miami Beach early Thursday morning on Felony charges of battery by strangulation.
RICK ROSS MUGSHOT
The incident occurred on August 28th after Rick Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts, beat and strangled his girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, after he became enraged when she was tagged in an instagram photo.
According to the police report, Rick Ross accused his girlfriend of lying to him about a relationship she had with a friend, and every time she denied the allegations he was making, Rick Ross struck her, hitting her in the chest, choking her, grabbing her by her pony tail l, and slammed her head against a wall.
Days before Ross was arrested, Jazzma Kendrick, a realtor and model, broke her silence and went public on her Instagram account about being a domestic violence victim, saying she was a "punching bag " for Rick Ross, and posting photo showing a bruised and bloodied lip.
"I want you to know I'm okay. This happened about a month ago, so I've had time to sit with it, process it, and start healing," Jazzma Kendrick wrote.
"Speaking up wasn't easy, but your support reminded me I made the right choice. It's always good until it isn't. If a man hits you one time, he will do it again. Don't give him the opportunity. Value your life and leave."
In an Instagram photo showing her bruised lip, Kendrick wrote:
"I don't know a lot of things, but I do know that a man that puts his hands on me, is man that never loved me and never will."
The Davy V. Blog wrote about Rick Ross in July when Rochester, New York Mayor Malik Evans brought the rapper to town.
Ross is known for glorifying and promoting violence, drugs, and raping women in his music.
In fact not only did I expose how Rochester, New York Mayor Malik Evans and the City of Rochester paid Rick Ross to perform his violent lyrics to a city which has been plagued by violence including several still unsolved mass shootings, but I also pointed out the timing of Rochester, New York Mayor Malik Evans bringing Ross to town, just a few days before the two-year anniversary of one of Rochester, New York's largest mass shootings which left two young women dead, and five people injured.
Tyasia Manning, 25, a City of Rochester employee, remembered for her love of children, and Phylicia Council 34, who worked with special needs children, were both shot in a barrage of more than 40 bullets fired that day at a cookout in Maplewood Park .
The murders remain unsolved.
The Davy V. Blog also denounced the Rochester Red Wings baseball team and ESL Federal Credit Union for welcoming Ross to perform at ESL Ballpark, the Red Wings baseball stadium in downtown Rochester, just a couple of miles from where Tyasia Manning and Phylicia Council were executed.
I also called out the Rochester Red Wings for allowing Rick Ross, who brags and promotes raping women, to perform at their stadium which had always been associated with a family friendly atmosphere where young children and their families come to watch baseball games.
In one hit song, Rick Ross boasts about drugging a woman and then raping her:
"Put molly all in her champagne, she didn't even know it, I took her home and I enjoyed that, she didn't even know it."
"Molly" is short for the drug MDMA.
(BELOW) Before Rick Ross took the stage to the sounds of gunshots, Rochester, New York Mayor Malik Evans and his wife posed for photos with Rick Ross.
