(VIDEO) Brighton, NY Cops Find Missing Elderly Woman

In a time where just about every police related news story seems to be about rogue, trigger-happy cops abusing and violating their sworn oath to "protect and serve", comes a good story about great police work in finding a missing elderly woman.

Motorists driving through Brighton, NY Thursday afternoon may have seen a low flying New York State Police helicopter hovering above them.

That's because New York State Police was assisting Brighton, NY Police in locating an elderly woman who went missing.

The woman, 81-year old Jimmie Bruce, who has dementia was reported missing from Clintwood Apartments around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Brighton Police Chief Mark Henderson, later issued a statement saying his officers had located Bruce, who he described as being "safe and in good condition."   

Henderson also thanked New York State Police.
