Racist Hate Continues to Rise as Donald Trump Picks White Nationalist as White House Chief of Staff

Racist Messages left on Bathroom Door at Maple Grove High School

By Davy V.

A few days ago, I wrote about how we can expect more racist attacks on minorities and the LGBT community, under Donald Trump as president.

Well, Trump hasn't even been sworn in yet, and it's already begun.

In my hometown of Rochester, NY, not one, but two gay practice de flags were burned down on election night.

Greg Ventura, one of the victims, who has just recently hung his flag up as a celebration of finally being openly gay, says he himself didn't grasp the serious significance of the incident until Rochester, NY Police officers told him it was a hate crime.

"When I first discovered the flag it just upset me," Ventura said.

"When RPD (Rochester Police) arrived, they begin using the words "hate crime", that made me open my eyes and realize this was a targeted attack, and there was a lot of hatred behind it."

At Twin Cities High School in Minneapolis, just a few hours after Donald Trump was elected president, racist messages were left inside the school, bearing Trump's name.

A locker with the woman words "Fucking Niggers".

A door with the words

"Fuck All Porch Monkeys", "Whites Only", "White America", and "Trump Train."

"Make America Great Again" was written on a toilet paper dispenser.

Moses Karngbaye

High School Junior Moses Karngbaye described how he felt when he discovered the racist messages.

"I went in and looked on the bathroom door and honestly was in shock," Karngbaye said.

"That's the first time I honestly felt like crying at school."

"I just walked back to class with my head down, I was like I can't believe people actually took the time out of their day to write something this offensive."

Karngbaye says he also took photos of messages that read: "All you niggers go back to Africa" and  "Now the white people are going to take over."

A statement by Oseo Area Schools, who confirmed that the photos are real, denounced the incident and said an investigation is in progress.

The statement reads:

"Racist messages like the ones found today endanger the safety of our students and staff of color, and they create a climate that is not conducive to learning. It goes against everything we stand for, and it is completely contrary to our core values as a district and individual schools. This incident is additional evidence of the pressing need in our schools, our community and our nation to find ways to talk about race constructively and respectfully."

This incident is just one more sign of the divisiveness that Donald Trump has caused in our country.

J.C. Playford

Just last week, I wrote a piece about a California based photojournalist and self-proclaimed police critic named J.C. Playford who posted pro-Trump posts on Facebook, in which he called Hillary Clinton a "bitch", as called for Donald Trump to hire former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, to send Mexicans back across the border in cattle cars.

In another Facebook post, J.C. Playford wrote "Joe Arpaio for Homeland Security Chief" on a link to a video of Sheriff Arpaio.

Ironic considering that for years Playford has pretended to denounce police misconduct, yet he not only does support Trump, who during his campaign vowed to reinstate stop and frisk of minorities by police, but Playford also supports former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a racist who openly condoned and encouraged his officers to racially profile hispanics.

J.C. Playford supporters are not liking the fact that I exposed him and his disturbing, twisted comments including calling for peaceful protesters to be run over and killed.

Take, for example, Gabriel Quijas, who posted the comment below in response to my link to my piece about Playford.

Quijas writes:

"I have sent my NYPD friends your info. Let's see how much work you get done filming NYPD doing their jobs under Trump."

Since my piece (below) about California photojournalist and self-proclaimed police accountability activist J.C. Playford supporting Donald Trump's racist hate rhetoric, including Playford calling for Trump to appoint former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio as Homeland Security Chief to take Mexicans back in "cattle cars", Playford's hate-filled rant on social media has intensified.

In a post he posted to his Facebook page Wednesday evening, Playford calls for motorists in California to run over anti-Trump protesters.

In the post Playford writes:

"Trump protesters blocking San Diego trolley. Run them over"

The hate and divisiveness can be found all over social media.

On Twitter, a user by the name of @Raven, whose profile photo is a black crow wearing the "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" red baseball
cap, posted several disturbing tweets.

Among them, one tweet which features a photo of First Lady Michelle Obama with incoming First Lady Melania Trump having tea at the White House, with the caption:

"Beauty and the Beast"

"So glad Melania will bring CLASS back to the White House."

In another photo, indicative of the hate against the LGBT community, the same Twitter user tweeted a side by side photo of First Lady Michelle Obama and Melania Trump, with the caption:

"out with the tranny, in with the lady!"

And now with Donald Trump's pick of white nationalist Steve Banon, as White House Chief of Staff, our great country will no doubt become even more divided than it already is.
