Andrew Demay
Like I always say.
Some people just shouldn't own pets.
Take, for example, 54-year old Andrew Demay of Huron who shot and killed his dog because as he told New York State Police, the dog kept running away from him.
Police were called to Demay's home after they received an anonymous tip to check on Demay.
When troopers arrived they found Demay, who had been drinking, and his dead dog.
Demay shot the dog in the head with his .45 caliber handgun.
New York State Police confiscated Demay's .45 caliber handgun, along with an AR-10 assault rifle, then arrested Demay, charging him with aggravated cruelty to animals, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree.
Demay was sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $5.000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
He is due in Huron Court July 24th at 3:30 pm.
