Apparently, the City of Rochester, NY believes it takes three.

Three city employees, to paint over graffiti .

One to scrape the wall.

Another to use a roller to paint and cover the graffiti.

and watches them.

And a third to scratch his balls, while he just stands there and watches the other two.

Yep.

That's exactly how three City of Rochester, NY employees spent their Thursday morning, painting over a small, approximately 6 foot by 9 foot section of brick wall on the side of the old Tip Top Restaurant, located at 1595 Mt. Hope Avenue, which had been spray painted with graffiti.

So why should you care?

Well, if you live in Rochester, NY, a city which was recently ranked 'The 5th Poorest City in The
U.S.', then you should certainly care, that in a city where many children go to bed hungry, a city where the child poverty rate is 46 percent, more than twice the national average, then just as I am, you too should be asking yourself, how can it be that the City of Rochester, NY can afford to pay three employees to do a job that one employee can do by his or herself?

Paint over graffiti?

Graffiti on a privately owned building, no less.

A privately owned building which is currently for sale by C. Stefanou Realtors.

But, on the off chance, that after reading this piece, you still don't care and may even think it's much ado about nothing, then I just ask you to remember this.

If YOU pay taxes in the City of Rochester, the next time you bitch, moan, rant, about how much you have to fork out in taxes, just remember how YOUR tax dollars are going towards addressing the 5th Poorest City's most dire needs...

Painting over graffiti.
