Wayne County, NY Corrections officer Brian Miller

By Davy V.

A Wayne County, NY corrections officer has received a paid vacation after attempting to choke a minor to death.

Brian Miller, 47, grabbed a male teenage inmate by the neck,, during a fight at the Wayne County jail, and  then proceeded to choke the teen, cutting off the youth's breathing, trying to strangle him.

Court records show the inmate, whose name is being kept confidential because of his age, is under 17 years of age.

Miller, a 14-year veteran of the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, endangering the welfare of a minor, two counts of second degree falsifying business records, and second degree harassment.

He received his paid suspension, oops!.. I mean vacation, immediately after being charged.

Miller was arraigned in Lyons, NY Town Court.
