Rochester, NY Police officer Christine Wilson Helps Save Children from Burning Van

Rochester, NY Police officer Christine Wilson

By Davy V.

She may not think she is, but Rochester, NY Police officer Christine Wilson is a hero.

Wilson was off duty, driving with her mother in Henrietta, NY, when they came upon a horrific scene.

A van with several children trapped inside, engulfed in flames, at the intersection of West Henrietta Rd. and Thruway Park Drive.

The  van had been struck by another vehicle, driven by 20-year old Sean Cuer, who was speeding when he ran a red light, striking the vehicle.

Wilson wasted no time.

When some ran away from the burning vehicle, Christine Wilson ran towards it, not thinking of herself, but instead of the young children trapped inside the van which was about to explode.

"I knew I had to act fast. I put on my police hat," said Wilson.

"The mother of the van jumped out of the car screaming my babies, my babies, somebody help me."

"I saw these four beautiful kids, they became my babies and I had to act fast," Wilson said.

Reaching inside the burning vehicle, Wilson released a 9-year old child's seatbelt, then saw a 6-month old strapped in her infant carrier.
Flame-engulfed minivan where four children were saved
by RPD officer Christine Wilson,
and good samaritan.

"That little baby kept me calm. Her beautiful eyes was just looking at me and I was just like I can do this," Wilson said.

As officer Wilson felt around, trying to find a release hatch for the carrier, two year old twins were locked in their car seats as the hot minivan filled with smoke.

Barely able to see, Rochester Police officer Christine Wilson pulled the boy away from his harness.

"I gave him a good yank and he fell into my arms, thank God," said Wilson.

With the temperature inside the minivan rising, Wilson never gave up.

"It started popping the windows out! I prayed to Jesus for just a few more seconds," said Wilson.

Then, Wilson said, the next thing she recalls was her standing on the side of West Henrietta Road.

Wilson's own mother, had rescued her, from the burning van.

"She yanked me out of the van because the vehicle was on fire. As a mother she's got to save her child," Wilson said.

An emotional, humble officer Wilson
describes good samaritan's heroic actions.
Choking back tears, an emotional Wilson describes how she felt knowing there was no going back.

"I was on my knees yelling and screaming to the Lord Jesus help me please because I did not get that last child," said Wilson.

Then Wilson says she saw a man.

"Some unknown man, he came running from the back of the van yelling, running towards me with that last child saying, 'I got him, I got the last child," Wilson said.

At that point the van began exploding.

Officer Wilson grabbed two of the children and ran behind a building.

Terri Fontanez praised officer Wilson's heroic actions, in saving her children.

"It means the world to me," Fontanez said.

Fontanez did not know about the mystery man who showed up and saved her child.

Rochester, NY Police officer Christine Wilson says she would like to see the children again and she would also like to meet that mystery man who showed up, then was gone so fast.

"I don't know who this guy is but he is the real hero," officer Wilson said.

"Yes, I saved three of them but this man saved the last child. I want to thank him."

Officer Wilson, I not only respect your courage, running towards and into a burning vehicle and saving trapped children, but I respect your humbleness.

Yes, you are correct, that mystery man is a hero.

And so are you.

And thanks to you officer Wilson, a mother will be planning the holidays with her children, instead of planning their funerals.

Family and Friends Remember Young Woman Killed in DWI Wrong-Way Crash

Khadija McKenzie
By Davy V.

Khadijah McKenzie's friends truly loved the young woman they called "Diamond", who was killed early Saturday morning around 3 am, when a drunk driver going the wrong way on I-490 crashed head on into the vehicle she was driving.

One of those friends reached out to me asking for my help in getting the word out for a balloon-release being held Tuesday at Gates-Chili High School, in Diamond's memory.

Diamond's friend Avey, who like many, is mourning the loss of her friend, described McKenzie as a funny, bright person who wanted to be a nurse.

Khadija McKenzie at 14 years old,
where she writes about her goals
and of making her mother proud.

"She loved to cook and loves art", said Avey, who in using present and past tense in the same sentence, it's clear she still hasn't accepted that her friend is gone.

According to New York State Police, 30-year old Robert Rector, of Fairport, was driving the wrong way on Interstate 490 westbound, near the Ames Street exit when he hit an SUV driven by McKenzie.

Police say Rector, who was drunk, did not have his headlights on.

State Police say McKenzie was pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Robert Rector was charged with manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
Khadija McKenzie is Jamaican.
Her mother still lives in Jamaica.
"Hearing the news shocked my mom so much that she ended up in the hospital this morning," said Sapphire Lumley, Khadija's sister.
Lumley says the holidays will never be the same without her sister around.
"Without her here for her to cook and be a part of it and sitting around the dinner table on Thanksgiving or opening presents Christmas morning, it's going to be heartbreaking," she said, adding, "I haven't really left the room ever since I got home from the hospital. I just sat here and watched TV and I laid down on the pillows. It made me feel like shes still here that shes not fully gone."
A Facebook page, titled "For Khadija, Our Final Farewell", invites Diamond's friends, and anyone in the community, to come out for a balloon release honoring her memory, Tuesday November 26, 2013 at 6 pm, at Gates Chili High School.

Rochester, NY Police Chief James Sheppard; A Coward who Lacked Leadership Skills, Even at the End

A disgraced Chief, James Sheppard chokes back tears,
during Wednesday press conference.
By Davy V.

On Wednesday afternoon, Rochester, NY Police Chief James Sheppard, announced his retirement.

Officially this time.

You see, in October, Sheppard turned in his retirement papers.

Then, after changing his mind, withdrew them.

"I didn't want people to think that my turning in my retirement papers had anything to do with the election", Sheppard told Rochester news media Wednesday afternoon, at a press conference held at the Public Safety building.

"So, I withdrew my retirement papers."

"I wanted to do it on my time."

What a crock of shit.

The election Sheppard was referring to was that of Rochester Mayor.

In September, Rochester City Council President Lovely Warren won the Democratic primary, beating Rochester Mayor Thomas Richards.

It was no secret that Richards was perhaps Sheppard's biggest, if not only cheerleader.

It's no secret that Warren was not.

And so, after Warren won the primary, Sheppard knew that he did not have a future under a Warren administration.

Which is why Sheppard turned in his retirement papers in October.

The tensions between Warren and Sheppard were there all along.

The final straw seems to be a request by Warren and Rochester City Councilman Adam McFadden, the chair of Public Safety, to Sheppard, asking that he deploy an RPD Mobile Command unit to the Chili Avenue, Salina Street area, after a string of shootings, including a recent one where an 11-year old was shot along with two adults in front of a Chili Avenue laundromat.
Rochester, NY Police Chief James Sheppard,
with Mayor Thomas Richards.
"The White man's puppet."
How many minorities in Rochester viewed James Sheppard.

Sheppard ignored that request.

And on Wednesday morning, just as he had done countless times since being appointed Chief in 2010, Sheppard did two things.

He failed to be a man, and a leader, by refusing to take accountability and tell the truth.

And he lied to Rochester's Corporate-America run mainstream news media, by standing at the podium and saying that his "retirement" had nothing to do with the election.

Of course it did.

It had EVERYTHING to do with the election.

Sheppard may have fooled Rochester's lame stream news media, but those who who know Sheppard's m.o.., like myself, saw right through his load of crap.

In fact, I wasn't surprised at all.

That little man I saw b.s.'ing reporters, is the same coward, and failure of a man who was never fit to lead a police force.

You see, a true leader has LEADERSHIP skills.

Something Sheppard NEVER had.

A true leader has INTEGRITY.

Something Shepoard NEVER had.

A true leader has RESPECT.

Something Sheppard NEVER had.

A true leader is not a PUPPET.

Like Sheppard was.

As a black man, Rochester Police Chief James Sheppard will be remembered as a Chief who condoned and actually encouraged his disproportionately white police force, to racially profile, and abuse African-Americans and Latinos.

Like he did when Rochester Police officers Anthony Liberatore, Joseph Ferrigno, and Mitchell Stewart II pepper sprayed and beat Benny Warr, a wheelchair confined, one-legged amputee who was waiting for the bus at the intersection of Jefferson Ave. and Bartlett St.

The officers claimed that Warr disobeyed their order for him to move, even though he was in his motorized wheelchair, on a public sidewalk, waiting for the bus.

RPD Chief James Sheppard supported his officers' actions.

No surprise really, since the officers were actually enacting Sheppard's "Operation Zero Tolerance", where innocent citizens, including handicapped ones, are constantly subjected to illegal, unconstitutional stops, searches, seizures, and assaults.

As a black man, Rochester Police Chief James Sheppard will be remembered as a Chief who justified the beating of Brenda Hardaway, a pregnant African-American woman who was driven stomach first into a wooden porch railing post, punched in the head, and thrown to the ground by a white Rochester Police officer, Lucas Krull.

As Chief, James Sheppard will be remembered as a Chief who approved, and justified of RPD officer Mario Masic violating Emily Good's first Amendnent right, when he arrested her after she videotaped Masic conducting a factually profiled traffic stop of a black motorist.

But again, for those who know Sheppard, it's no surprise, coming from a coward.

A coward who called the modern-day firing squad execution of Israel "Izzy" Andino, a mentally-ill young man, shot by 7 Rochester Police officers, justified, before the investigation had even begun.

And Shame on Rochester, NY's lame stream news media for lauding Sheppard as some sort of hero, when he was nothing more than a failure!

Good riddance Chief Sheppard!

Rochester, NY Police officer Jeffrey Nobles Tells Woman "Get the fuck off the bus you cunt!", Then Pulls her Off Bus by her Hair

Rochester, NY Police officer Jeffrey Nobles
threatening to arrest woman for video recording hi
m.
By Davy V.

One day last September, Rochester, NY Police officer Jeffrey Nobles saw Sherry Findley and her friend standing at a bus stop in front of a Dunkin' Donuts on Monroe Avenue.

"He walked up to us and asked us where we were heading and said 'Would you like a ride home because you look cold', said Findley.

"We accepted because we saw that he was on duty."

When Findley and her friend got into Nobles' RPD cruiser, it became clear to her and her friend that officer Nobles had an ulterior motive behind offering the two women a ride.

"He told is we were two beautiful ladies, then he proceeded to tell us his life story", said Findley.

"He told us he was recently divorced, then went on to tell us how he was going to move to Florida when he retired." Findley said, adding, "Then he started talking about how the younger Rochester Police officers are corrupt."

"When we arrived at 625 University Avenue, officer Nobles gave us each his card with his personal phone number on it, and told us that if we ever needed anything or just wanted to talk, to give him a call, but we never did."
Card Rochester, NY Police officer Jeffrey Nobles
gave to Sherri Findley.
Nobles also gave Findley's friend a card.

Fast forward to Saturday November 16th, Sherry Findley is waiting for an RTS bus in front of Strong Memorial Hospital.

The bus speeds past Findley's stop.

Findley runs after the bus, then, when she finally catches up to it, she knocks on the door.

When the driver of the bus, John Thomas, opens the door for Findley, she proceeds to tell him that he was supposed to stop at her bus stop, and according to Findley, a verbal altercation ensues, at which time Thomas tells Findley to get off the bus.

"I informed him that I was not getting off the bus", Findley said.

"Another passenger then stepped in and stated that the bus driver was allowing other passengers off on unscheduled stops, and that's why he didn't stop at the stop I was at."

"At this point I went and took a seat on the bus and the bus driver quickly stopped the bus and said he was not going to move until I got off the bus."

"I told him I would wait for the arrival of a supervisor, as I had done nothing wrong, and at this point a University Of Rochester security guard arrived on the scene, followed by two Rochester Police officers."

"That's when Rochester Police officer Jeff Nobles yelled at me 'Get the fuck off the bus', and I said no."

"I told him that I was waiting for the RTS supervisor, and officer Nobles yelled at me 'Get the fuck off the bus you cunt!', I tried to tell him that I did not do anything wrong", said Findley.

"And that's when officer Nobles grabbed my hair, and pulled me by my ponytail off the bus while verbally abusing me with all types of nasty words."

"Officer Nobles slammed me up against his police car, then he lifted up my hoodie and
my tee shirt and said to me 'Look how fucking fat you are you fucking cunt', I then told officer Nobles that my ex-boyfriend, Dave Williams, is a Rochester Police technician, and I told Nobles that what he was doing was wrong and illegal."

"Officer Nobles then told me that no RPD officer would date a white trash cunt like me", said Findley.

Sherri Findley says that at that point, another Rochester Police officer arrived on the scene, and she asked him for Nobles' name.

"Upon arriving at the jail that officer told me officer Nobles' name."

"I was placed in lockup and a friend came and bailed me out", says Findley, who was charged with harassment.

After being bailed put, Findley said she and her friend went to the McDonalds restaurant on Monroe Avenue, where she saw Rochester Police officer Jeffrey Nobles.

"I proceeded to tell him that he was going down for what he did to me", Findley said.

Officer Nobles then told me to shut my fucking mouth."

Findley says officer Jeffrey Nobles then sat in his car, in the McDonalds parking lot, and took down her friend's license plate number, before driving off.

If the name Jeffrey Nobles sounds familiar, it should.

This is not the first time I have written about an incident involving Rochester Police officer Jeffrey Nobles and a female citizen.

On August 10, 2013, Nobles threatened to arrest a Rochester woman who was video recording him arresting her fiancée, and a Rochester firefighter, after she called police when a group of youth, including at least one believed to be armed with a gun, threatened her neighbors.

In the video below Rochester a Police officer Jeffrey Nobles yells at the woman, "You can videotape all you want, but you're going to leave or you're going to jail!"

Note: After several attempts contacting RTS to obtain possible video surveillance footage from the bus, they never returned my calls and messages.

Whether you reside in Rochester, NY or not, call Rochester, NY Police Chief James Sheppard, Mayor Thomas Richards, and Mayor-Elect Lovely Warren, and let them know how you feel about Rochester, NY Police officers calling women "Cunt", and violating their oath to protect and serve!

Dash Cam Video Shows New Mexico State Cop Opening Fire on Minivan Full of Children

New Mexico State trooper fires at least three rounds
at minivan full of children.
By Davy V.

The power of video, this time from a New Mexico State Trooper's dash cam, captures what at first seems like a routine traffic stop on the side of a road near the Town of Taos, on October 28th.

However, as the video unfolds, it captures a very disturbing scene.

A trooper shooting at least three times at a minivan with 5 children inside, including one as young as 6 years old.

Trooper strikes van with his baton.
After the driver of the vehicle, Oriana Ferrell, whom police say was pulled over for speeding, drives off, she is pulled over once again,

At that point, a New Mexico State trooper begins yelling at Ferrell, then attempts to physically pull Ferrell out of the vehicle.

Ferrell's 14-year old son, then does what any child would do in defending their parent as they are being physically assaulted by a stranger.

New Mexico State trooper fires at least three rounds
at minivan full of children.
A struggle ensues and Ferrell and her 14-year old son get back inside the minivan, as the trooper starts to repeatedly strike the side of the minivan with his baton, as more troopers arrive.

Then, as the minivan pulls off, a trooper opens fire on the vehicle, even though there was absolutely no threat whatsoever and nothing warranting use of deadly force.

After a short chase, Ferrell pulls over and she and her 14-year old son are arrested.

NOTE: Those who  follow my work, know that I NEVER recommend doing what the mother did in this case, or what the son did.

I always tell people that they should always cooperate with law enforcement during a traffic stop, regardless of the situation.

I also always encourage people to video record the stop, so as to document the incident, for your protection.

But again, ALWAYS cooperate!

DO NOT ever give a trigger-happy cop ANY excuse to shoot you or your loved one!

Rochester, NY Police Homicide Investigator David Simpson Helps Elderly Woman Cross Busy Intersection

Rochester, NY Police investigator David Simpson

By Davy V.

As an activist, writer and blogger exposing police misconduct, and corruption, I don't often get to see, much less write about, a law enforcement officer going out of their way to make a positive difference in someone's life.

On Wednesday afternoon, I got to witness such an act of kindness.

Minutes after grabbing lunch on State Street, near Kodak, I saw something I have never seen before.

A member of the Rochester, NY Police department stopping his official vehicle in traffic, getting out, and helping an elderly woman cross one of Rochester's busiest intersections.

Here's what happened.

As I was eating at DiPisa Subs, Rochester Police homicide investigator David Simpson came in and grabbed lunch to go.

When I finished eating and went to my car, I saw Simpson, who left before I did, pull his unmarked Chevy Impala over, at the intersection of State and Brown Streets, and turn on his flashing headlights and siren horn.

Investigator Simpson then exited his vehicle, walked over to an elderly African-American woman who was pushing a shopping cart, and helped her cross the street.

RPD investigator Simpson could have done what most of us do everyday, drive right by an elderly or down and out person, without even thinking that perhaps that person could use some assistance.

Investigator Simpson didn't have to stop.

He could have kept driving.

But he didn't.

And for that, I thank him, and give him two thumbs up!

African-Americans and Latinos in Rochester, NY... You Wanted Lovely Warren? You Got Her!

Rochester, NY Mayor-Elect
Lovely Warren
By Davy V.

It's official.

Lovely Warren is Rochester, NY's first female Mayor.

And the second African-American Mayor in Rochester history.

The first being William Johnson.

And just like William Johnson, Rochester's African-American community voted for Lovely Warren simply because she's black.

From the beginning it was clear by Lovely Warren's campaign lawn signs, which read "Lovely Warren Our Mayor", that African-Americans would jump on the Warren bandwagon simply because she's black.

Lovely Warren played that race card, and Rochester's African-American and Latino community fell for it!

And that's about the most ignorant reason to vote for someone.

So, I'll keep this short.

To all African-Americans, and Latinos who voted for Lovely Warren simply because you thought that a black woman would care about, identify with, or stand up to issues affecting minorities in Rochester, such as the out of control Rochester, NY Police department profiling, abusing, and killing innocent blacks and Latinos, think again.

Since being elected to Rochester City Council in 2007, and then President in 2010, Lovely Warren has remained silent and has done nothing when it comes to the need, and the 50-plus year call for a real civilian review board with subpoena power to investigate incidents of abuse and misconduct by Rochester Police officers.

Lovely Warren has NEVER attended a rally, or a march, denouncing police abuse at the hands of Rochester police officers.

When Israel "Izzy" Andino, a mentally-ill, young, male Latino, was executed by 7 Rochester Police officers in what neighbors described as a modern-day firing squad; Lovely Warren did nothing.

She said nothing.

When Benny Warr, an African-American, one-legged amputee waiting for a bus on his motorized scooter was picked up, slammed to the sidewalk, beaten, pepper-sprayed, and falsely arrested by white police officers, Lovely Warren did nothing.

She said nothing.

When Brenda Hardaway, an African-American pregnant woman was driven into a wooden porch-railing post, punched in the head, and thrown to the ground, by a white RPD cop, Lovely Warren did nothing.

She said nothing.

So to all the African-Americans and Latinos who voted for Lovely Warren, I want you to remember this.

When YOU or YOUR loved one is racially profiled, harassed, beaten, or executed by over zealous, out of control Rochester, NY Police officers, the black woman YOU elected to be YOUR Mayor WILL NOT care.

You see, YOU voted for her because of her color.

You voted for her because YOU thought she 'looks' like you.

Because YOU 'identified' with her.

Little did YOU know that a Mayor's job in essence, is to oversee a City.

And a City is nothing more than a Corporation.

And a Corporation is nothing more than a business.

And at the end of the day, a business is only concerned with one thing.

Its bottom line.

So think about it.

With Lovely Warren sitting in the highest level of a City government there is, as Mayor, meeting, overseeing, and making closed door deals worth millions of dollars with other corporations, do you really think she will give a crap about 7 Rochester trigger-happy cops executing some poor mentally-ill kid?

Do you really think she will lose any sleep the next time several steroid-jacked rogue cops beat an African-American one-legged amputee waiting at a bus stop because he doesn't move off a public sidewalk when they tell him to?

Do you really think she will care when another pregnant, African-American woman who 'looks' like her, is beaten by a white RPD cop?

News flash!

If she hasn't cared for the last 6 years that she's been on City Council, what makes you think she will care now?

Disturbing Bug Video, Drugs, Secrecy, Payoffs, and Sexual Harassment,Offer a Different Look into Wegmans Food Markets

Danny Wegman
CEO, Wegmans Food Markets.
By Davy V.

In the early 1980's, Rochester, NY based Wegmans Food Market President Danny Wegman was busted in South Florida for possession of cocaine.

Of course, the incident never made the news, because Danny Wegman's father, Bob Wegman made sure his deep pockets, and long money would not only ensure that his son was not charged, but also that Rochester's mainstream, corporate-America run news media would never mention a word of it.

In fact, according to a 19-year Wegmans Distribution Center employee who spoke to me on the condition of anonymity, within the company's inner circle, the incident is still talked about, and it is well known that Danny Wegman loves cocaine, and that yes, Bob Wegman did get his son out of that South Florida pickle.

The employee told me that when it comes to Rochester's news media outlets, they're on Danny Wegman's payroll.

Take, for example, a narcotics raid which occurred at the Wegmans Distribution Center just a couple of years ago, which never made headlines, and in fact, never made it past the Brooks Avenue warehouse doors.

"There was a young guy named Trevor, who began working with us," says the employee.

"The guy seemed really cool and down to earth, he became one of the guys, and even went to bars after work with us."

"Then, one day, several weeks after he began working with us, Trevor barges into the break room, accompanied by several New York State Police investigators and troopers," the employee said.

"Then Trevor flashes his badge at us which was hanging around his neck, and tells us that he's with the New York State Police, and that they are conducting a drug raid."

"They arrested several Latino employees who had been suspected of selling heroin and cocaine, but of course, you never saw or heard one word of it on the news, because Danny Wegman has them paid off."

When I asked the employee to elaborate, he explained a little better what he meant.

"Danny has lunch with all the news channel directors regularly," said the employee, adding, "He's especially close with 13WHAM News director Chuck Samuels, which is why you never heard of the heroin bust, or about Danny getting popped in Florida."

This past week, another Wegmans employee contacted me with a disturbing video.

The employee, who asked me not to publish his name, says that despite Wegmans' squeaky clean image and professional facade, there are secrets which Wegmans officials, and store managers hide behind friendly smiles, and there's a side of the company customers know nothing about.

Among them:

A manager at the Pittsford Wegmans who sexually harasses female employees regularly.

"When I heard him ask a female employee if she wanted to come over to his house and get in his hot tub, I couldn't believe it," said the employee, who also said that store managers treat employees bad.

"He told her why doesn't she come over to his house after work and check out his new hot tub."

The employee told me that the average customer has no idea how the male managers behave, especially with female employees.

The employee says that sexual harassment of female employees by male management is not at all uncommon, and goes unreported.

The employee also says that customers have no idea about behind the scenes in the daily operation of the Pittsford Wegmans.

Which is where the video comes in.

The short video, which was recorded at the Wegmans Food Market in Pittsford, NY, shows an insect crawling on the tile floor behind the store's sub shop.

According to the employee, the store has an ongoing issue with insects and rodents.

The employee says mouse droppings can often be found in the store's stockroom.

So, the next time you head to the Wegmans in Pittsford, NY, or any other Wegmans location, and are ordering a sub, be sure to ask if bugs are extra.
